These plants will thrive in the darker sections of your garden. Blooming in the shade of trees or in the shadows of buildings.

Have a shady spot where nothing seems to grow? We all know that plants need sun, but some need less than others and can thrive in these areas. Try filling it in with ever popular ferns, brunnera, and hostas. Looking for a bit more color? Go with coral bells, irises, and lilies. Or try a more old school look with baptisia, astilbe, and bleeding heart.

Hoping to find something to cover a structure in your garden? Vining plants like morning glories and trumpet vine are easy options. If you want something more showy, try out clematis and honeysuckle, each have large, lacy flowers and come in many varieties.
